Almond bran

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Almond bran is a by-product in the production of almond oil from almonds ( Prunus amygdalus ). After the oil has been squeezed out, what is known as the press cake remains as a solid residue, which is still wet and consists of peel and fruit residues. In the further manufacturing process, the press cake is homogenized and dried.

Almond bran - mixed with warm water and additives such as sea sand or sodium perborate - is processed into skin care products and z. B. used as a face pack.
