Manfred Henrich

Manfred Henrich (born July 2, 1925 , † November 10, 2003 ) was a local politician of the SPD and Lord Mayor of Saarlouis .

Life

After studying law and obtaining a doctorate to become a Dr. iur. Henrich worked as a lawyer and was most recently a higher regional judge . On April 20, 1966, he was elected mayor of Saarlouis, but was only able to take office on March 1, 1967 because of an election challenge. After an administrative reform, Henrich became the first Lord Mayor of Saarlouis on January 1, 1974 and remained so until his retirement on February 12, 1987.

During his term of office, the construction of the indoor swimming pool and the sports hall at Stadtgraben, the construction of the outdoor swimming pool in Steinrausch and the beginning of the settlement on the Steinrausch fell. The Lord Mayor also campaigned for the renovation of the old town. In addition, the construction of the inner and outer ring fell during his tenure.

Henrich was buried in Drosendorf-Zissersdorf, Austria .
