Lechner played a single league game for FC Bayern Munich in the 1956/57 season in the Oberliga Süd , the top German division at the time, to which FC Bayern Munich had returned after a year in second division . On March 17, 1957 (23 Matchday) he was a midfielder on the team in Sportpark Ronhof the SpVgg Fürth with 1: defeated eighth Furthermore, he was only used in the competition for the South German Cup ; on March 3, 1957 he was part of the team that won the replay against SpVgg Neu-Isenburg 4-0. So he had a share in the later cup win after 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 was defeated 4-1 on June 25, 1957 .
