The Marble Canyon Provincial Park is a 2,544-hectare Provincial Park in the Canadian province of British Columbia . The park is located about 48 kilometers northeast of Lillooet and about 28 kilometers west of the confluence of Highway 99 (Sea-to-Sky-Highway) with Highway 97 . The park is in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District .

The park is located on Highway 99, which divides the park into a northeast and a southwest area. In the southwest area of the park are the Crown Lake and the Turquoise Lake as well as the small camping area. The park also includes part of Pavilion Lake.
The park is a category II protected area ( national park ).
The limestone canyon in which the park is located is a rather rare geological formation in British Columbia and is part of the rugged Pavilion Mountain range.
history
The park was established in 1956. As with almost all provincial parks in British Columbia, it is also true that long before the area was settled by immigrants or it became part of a park, it was a hunting and fishing area of various First Nations tribes , here the St'at'imc . So far, two archaeological sites with pictograms have been identified in the park.
activities
The park is a popular destination for hikers, mountaineers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts. In winter, the frozen waterfalls in the park are used for ice climbing .
