Marcel M. Brombart

Marcel M. Brombart (* 1907 in Błaszki , Poland ; † after 1980) was a Belgian doctor and radiologist , particularly in the field of diagnostics of the gastrointestinal tract . He has published several books on the subject.

Life

Brombart studied at the University of Brussels . He became chief physician of the X-ray department at the Cesar de Paepe clinic in Brussels. Brombart was a member of the Racing Club de Bruxelles .

Act

The main focus of Marcel Brombart's work was the diagnosis of the digestive tract. He placed particular emphasis on what he called “functional radiology”, which allows “digestive organs to be seen alive, in motion and function”. The staging of Zenker's diverticulum with four stages goes back to him .

In 1960 Brombart was President of the "Royal Belgian Society of Gastroenterology " ( Société Royal Belge de Gastro-Entérologie ).
