Marcos Acayaba (* 1944 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian architect and urban planner.

From 1964 to 1969 he studied at FAUUSP (Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo ), the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Development at the University of Sao Paulo. From 1972 to 1976 he was professor of design at FAUUSP. He has held this post again since 1991.

Especially his house buildings (Olga, Baeta), which are made entirely of industrially prefabricated wooden structures, are characterized by great flexibility, which is a good and inexpensive technique for very steep hills with dense vegetation. The house is set up on the site using a simple, symmetrical structure with only three support points. The triangular wooden lattice of the two-story load-bearing structure rests on six pillars that transfer the forces into the foundation pipes. This supporting structure with hexagonal “tree supports” that support a secondary frame is identical in concept to the roof of Stansted , Norman Foster's London airport . The geometry of the houses consists of irregular hexagons, a structure that Acayaba had developed in 1989 in a project for a mobile theater for 1,500–2,000 visitors with the director Gianni Ratto .
