Marcus Annius Verus Caesar (* 162 , † September 10, 169 in Rome ) was one of at least 13 children of the Roman emperor Mark Aurel and his wife Faustina .

On October 12, 166, the four-year-old Annius Verus was elevated to Caesar and thus heir to the throne . He died on September 10, 169 in Rome of complications from an operation to remove a tumor from below his ear. His father's successor was his brother Commodus , who had also received the Caesar title in 166 .
