Marcus Hispanius Modestinus
Marcus Hispanius Modestinus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .
An inscription on an altar, which was found at Brocolitia Castle and which is dated to the first third of the 3rd century, proves that Modestinus was prefect of the Cohors I Batavorum , who was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time .
