Marcus Rubrius Ruga († after 44 BC) was a Roman politician who belonged to the circle of conspirators against Gaius Iulius Caesar .

Marcus Rubrius Ruga is named as one of those involved in the assassination attempt against Julius Caesar on the Ides of March , in which he himself was injured by the vehemently stabbing co-conspirator Lucius Minucius Basilus . If he did not die a natural death beforehand, he should be no later than 31 BC To have fallen victim to Octavian's campaign of revenge .
