Marcus Simplicius Quietus

Marcus Simplicius Quietus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .

A dedicatory inscription on an altar, which was found at the Vetus Salina fort and which is dated to 211/222, shows that Quietus Tribune of the Cohors III was Batavorum milliaria equitata Antoniniana . Quietus consecrated the altar to the goddess Vagdavercustis .
