Mary Queen of Peace (Naujoji Vilnia)
Mary Queen of Peace Naujoji Vilnia ( lit.Svč.Mergelės Marijos Taikos Karalienės bažnyčia ) is a Catholic church in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , in the Naujoji Vilnia district , at the Naujoji Vilnia Hospital and the Naujoji Vilnia Stadium . The mass is held in Polish and Lithuanian. The parish church is the main church in the deanery Naujoji Vilnia , Archdiocese of Vilnius .
history
From 1903 a hospital chapel existed at the site of today's church. The building of the church was planned by the architect Jan Borovski before the Second World War. It should be dedicated to St. Stanislav Kostka. In 1939, Polish soldiers built the church. The building was not completed in the course of the World War.
On June 8, 2002 the new church was consecrated.
