Maria Stuart, Queen of Scots

Maria Stuart, Queen of Scots is the name of a musical that premiered on April 3, 2008 in the Waldau Theater in Bremen . The music comes from Thomas Blaeschke , the artistic director of the Waldau Theater and director of the Bremen Musical Company , the text by Kerstin Tölle , a founding member of the Bremen Musical Company. The co-author also played the title role in the premiere.

The musical, which consists of a loose series of scenes, chronologically chronicles the life of Queen Mary of Scots, from her birth in 1542 to her execution in 1587. It deals with both the private life of the " romantic " Mary Queen of Scots and her religious life and power-political conflicts in Europe in the 16th century .

So far, the musical has been performed in three seasons in the Waldau Theater Bremen (in April 2008, in October 2008 and in April 2010).
