The Marien-Dankes-Kirche Wartmannstetten is a Roman Catholic branch church in the market town of Wartmannstetten in the Neunkirchen district in Lower Austria .

history

The branch church of the parish church of the Assumption of Mary in Neunkirchen was built according to the church layout with nave, choir, tower and side chapel from 1958 to 1959 according to the plans of the architect Viktor Kraft .

architecture

The nave under a gable roof has a low aisle on the left with transverse windows and a large window on the right. The gable side has a rectangular portal and above it a risalit-like projection with a large window with the symbolism of an organ. The shallow, just closing choir has a large window on the left side. The tower set on the right with rectangular sound windows and a flat gable roof is set on the right and cuts a little in the area of ​​the gallery.

The hall space under a flat wooden ceiling has a side aisle with a side chapel on the left, delimited by round columns. Behind the trapezoidal triumphal arch with rounded corners is the transverse rectangular choir with a wooden ceiling.

The rear choir wall shows with the wall painting of the tearful rosary. The Madonna in front of it from 1958 was created by the sculptor Maria Plachy (1958). The stained glass with the protective mantle Madonna, the Saints Leopold, Elisabeth, Antonius, with symbolic representations of hands, cross, church building and the Way of the Cross was created by the artist Karl Steiner . There is a canvas painting "Nativity" from the middle of the 18th century.

Furnishing

The organ was built by Anton Škrabl in 1995.
