Mario Perricone

Mario Perricone (born 1964 ) is a German ballet dancer .

Life

From 1974, Perricone completed an apprenticeship at the State Ballet School in Berlin under the artistic direction of Martin Puttke. He then began his career as a group dancer at the Komische Oper Berlin under the direction of Tom Schilling . In the following years he advanced to first soloist and later first solo dancer. For the interpretation of the miracle and the puck he was awarded the Berlin Critics' Prize. In 1986 he won the first main prize and the actor's prize at the GDR national ballet competition. In 1989 Perricone made guest appearances at the Dresden Semperoper and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. A four-week guest performance took him to various cities in India and in the same year he worked as a teacher at the State Ballet School Berlin. In 1990 he was engaged as a solo dancer at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin , where he was appointed first solo dancer a year later. In 1995 he moved to the ballet of the Aalto Theater in Essen under the direction of his former teacher Martin Puttke.
