Markus Neff

Markus Neff (* 1963 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian chef .

Career

Neff grew up near the Swiss border. In 1983 he went to the Fletschhorn restaurant in Saas-Fee , where he became sous-chef in 1989. In 1994 the Fletschhorn was awarded 18 Gault Millau points and head chef Irma Dütsch was named “Swiss Chef of the Year”, and the Michelin Guide gave the restaurant a star. In 1998 the cookbook Esprit de cuisine appears .

In December 2003, Markus Neff and Charlie Neumüller and Maren Müller bought the Fletschhorn restaurant from the Dütsch family. In 2006 Neff became head chef at the Waldhotel Fletschhorn in Saas-Fee and was named “Chef of the Year 2007” by Gault-Millau.
