Martin Klepper

Martin Klepper (born October 5, 1963 in Weinheim ) is a German literary scholar.

Life

Klepper received his doctorate in 1996 at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the Free University of Berlin on American postmodernism between play and reconstruction. After that, he was a research assistant at the University of Hamburg , where he joined in 2004 with its drawing up the development of the literary "point of view" in American literature habilitated .

He worked as a professor of American studies at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . Martin Klepper is currently Professor of American Literature and Culture at the Humboldt University in Berlin . His research and publication focuses on transcultural narrative identities, visuality and perspective in the 19th century, the American postmodern and utopian novel and the history of American film .
