Alan Dark

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alan Dark (Italian: Martin Mystère ) is an Italian comic series by the author Alfredo Castelli . The series has been published by Sergio Bonelli Editore since its first episode in 1982 (according to other sources: 1978) .

The hero of the story is an archaeologist and researcher of the "Indiana Jones" type and explores what cannot be rationally explained. He also appears as a writer and host of a television show. Despite his French-sounding name, he is American and lives in the stories in Washington Mews, NY - fans are said to have even tried to visit the hero at the address.

In Italy, the series is one of the better quality comic series, but did not reach the sales figures of the most popular titles.

The series has appeared in various other countries, sometimes under different names. In Germany she was published by Bastei Lübbe Verlag as Alan Dark .

There was also a computer game of the same name (2005).
