Martin Papenbrock
Martin Papenbrock (born 1963 in Harsewinkel ) is a German art historian.
Life
Martin Papenbrock began studying art history, literature and editing studies at the University of Osnabrück in 1983 and received his doctorate in 1991 with the dissertation Functions of Christian Iconography in German Art from 1945 to 1949 . In 1995 he published a commemorative publication for his doctor's mother Jutta Held . In 1999 he completed his habilitation with the work Landscapes of Exile: Gillis van Coninxloo and the Frankenthaler Maler . Papenbrok has been teaching at the University of Karlsruhe since 1998 (since 2009 Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT).
