There, millions of migratory birds cross the land bridge between Africa, Asia and Europe. Along the Great Rift Valley, storks, flamingos, pelicans, birds of prey and songbirds migrate north from their African wintering areas. In the south of Israel is her first big resting place after the exhausting non-stop flight over the deserts of Africa. Reusch documents, among other things, the work of ornithologist Yossi Leshem, a pioneer in bird strike research. He developed an effective early warning system for bird migration.
