Martina Witte

Martina Witte (born November 30, 1960 ) is the current director of the Rostock free theater Compagnie de Comédie Rostock and stage 602.

After graduating from high school in 1979, she studied theater studies from 1982 to 1987 at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig. In the same year she began working as a dramaturge at the Rostock Volkstheater . Later she became the director of the children's and youth theater of the Rostock Volkstheater.

From 1991 Martina Witte was a founding member of the independent theater Compagnie de Comédie and took over its management in 1993. When the Compagnie de Comédie got a permanent venue, the 602 stage, in 2000, it also took over its management. Stage 602 is funded by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Martina Witte lives in Dierhagen (Strand district), is married and has a son.
