history

At the end of 1942 the Marton X / V-01 (internal RMI-8) was planned as a heavy fighter, the construction of the prototype began in 1943. The design with double tail girders, tripod landing gear and a pulling and pushing propeller was similar to the Dutch Fokker D.XXIII . Two Daimler-Benz DB 605s were planned as the drive . The armament should consist of a 30-mm motor cannon, two heavy machine-guns in the bow and further machine-guns in the wing roots and the front ends of the tail boom. Because of the thrust propeller behind the cockpit, the aircraft was equipped with an ejection seat. In 1944 the airframe with the registration XV + 01 was completed, but was destroyed by a US bombing on April 13, 1944.
