history

The holding was founded in 2004 as KK Maruha Group Honsha ( 株式会社 マ ル ハ グ ル ー プ 本社 ) around the core company Maruha KK ( マ ル ハ 株式会社 ; until 1943 Nishi-Taiyō Gyogyō Tōsei KK ( 西 太平洋 漁業 統制 株式会社 ), until 1945 TaiKyō Gyogyō ( 太平洋 漁業 株式会社 )) set up. With the merger with KK Nichiro ( 株式会社 ニ チ ロ ) in 2007, the name was changed to KK Maruha Nichiro Holdings.
