Masakazu Kondō (sculptor)

Masakazu Kondō ( Japanese 近藤 正 和 , Kondō Masakazu ; born February 13, 1980 in Osaka ) is a Japanese sculptor, object artist and graphic artist. His drawings, mostly made with ballpoint pens in a photo-realistic technique, attracted particular attention . He has lived and worked in Osaka since 2014.

Life

  • 1999–2001: Studied information design at the Kyōto University of Art and Design , Japan
  • 2001: First stay in Germany, Bremen
  • 2002–2003: Worked as a graphic designer in Osaka, Japan
  • 2005: Studies at the Art Academy Münster , since 2006 with Katharina Fritsch
  • 2009: Appointment as a master class student of Prof. Katharina Fritsch
  • 2010: Change of university to the Art Academy Düsseldorf with Prof. Katharina Fritsch
  • 2012: Academy letter, diploma
