Masakazu Tamura

Masakazu Tamura ( Japanese田村 正 和, Masakazu Tamura ; born August 1, 1943 in Kyoto ) is a Japanese actor . Since the beginning of the 1960s he has appeared in more than 60 film and television productions.

Career

Tamura is the son of the Japanese actor : Tsumasaburō Bandō (1901–1953), who has been one of the most popular samurai actors in the country since the early days of silent films and who later built his own studio production. His younger brothers, for example en: Ryō Tamura (* 1946), are also active as actors.

Tamura gained greater popularity through two television series, once the drama series Nemuri Kyoshirō manji giri (1969) and the other Furuhata Ninzaburō (from 1999).

Tamura was honored in the 2009 Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo for his work in Ah, You're Really Gone Now in the “Best Actor” category.
