Masamichi Yamamoto ( Japanese 山 本 雅 道 , Yamamoto Masamichi ; born August 4, 1978 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese cyclist .

Masamichi Yamamoto finished third in the Tour de Okinawa in 2000 . In 2003 he became a professional with the Japanese cycling team Shimano Racing . From 2005 he was with Shimano-Memory Corp, which has been operating under the name Skil-Shimano since 2006 . From 2008 to 2011 Yamamoto drove for the Bridgestone Anchor team , where he won a stage in the Tour de la Martinique in his first year .
