Upper and lower box for machine molding (sand mold)

The machine forms is a partially or fully automatic manufacturing process for the efficient production gießfertiger sand molds . Individual to all sub-steps of hand molding are carried out by machine. Machine-formed castings are more dimensionally accurate and have a better surface. Machine molding is used for small to medium quantities.

The main stations are the forming station, core insertion, casting and cooling line. The emptying station releases the castings.

The molding station can consist of an automatic molding machine for complete molds or several that produce the upper and lower boxes separately. There are also boxless molding lines. A frame is only used here during the manufacture of the mold, which is removed after the sand has been compacted.
