The Kazani crevice

The Kazani massacre was a war crime during the Bosnian War . In Sarajevo , numerous Serbian civilians were murdered between 1992 and 1993 and some were thrown into the Kazani shaft cave on the slope of Trebević Mountain above the city. The massacre was carried out by units of the army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Mušan "Caco" Topalović . It is still unclear how many people were murdered there between 1992 and 1993 near Kazani . In 1993, bodies and body parts of more than 20 people were recovered, but more victims are suspected. The oldest murdered victims include the married couple Marina and Radoslav Komljenac, then 62 and 72 years old. Kazani is not the only place in Sarajevo where Serbs have been murdered throughout the war.
