Mattress litter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The deep litter is a method of livestock housing , in which - in contrast to change bedding - a permanent layer of litter left in the barn, only abgemistet the solid waste daily and only a thin layer of fresh one litter is applied. The urine seeps into the lower layers; the decomposition reaction taking place there warms the house.
