Maurice Neumont

Maurice Neumont (* 1868 in Paris; † 1930 ibid) was a French painter and illustrator.

Neumont studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris and was a student of Jean-Léon Gérôme . In 1902 he was able to exhibit for the first time in the Salon des Artistes Français . During the Second World War he created various propaganda posters. His poster with the motto ¡No pasarán! . As a result, Neumont became a member of the Legion of Honor .
