Electro-hydraulic drive : A hydraulic system is driven by an electric motor. The hydraulic system opens and closes the shells of the grapple. The gripper is controlled (open / close trays) via the cable for the power supply of the electric motor.

Diesel-hydraulic drive : A hydraulic system is driven by a built-in diesel engine. The gripper is controlled (open / close) by a radio remote control.

Grabs are mainly used for handling bulk goods in ports (loading and unloading of cargo ships).
