Master of Jannecke Bollengier

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Master of Jannecke Bollengier is an emergency name for a Flemish illuminator from Ghent or Bruges who was active around 1500.

The name results from the ownership entry of Jannecke Bollengier in a book of hours illustrated by the artist , which is now in the treasure of the Collégiale Sainte-Waudru in Mons . There are closely comparable books of hours in museum and library collections, the art-historical and linguistic processing of which has not yet been completed.

There is an unspecified reference to the master of the Dresden prayer book .
