With Master of Calamarca the unnamed Latin American is baroque painter called that by about 1680 or 1750 for the church of Calamarca in today's Bolivia has created two series of angels. His paintings in oil on wood are considered to be important examples of the Latin American Baroque (barroco americano) in the then Viceroyalty of Peru . They show their own local style, which combines elements of the local population's understanding of art and religion with the baroque style introduced from Europe in terms of color composition and choice of motifs.

Well known are the master's unusual pictures of angels with firearms (arcabuces).
