The district of Meixi ( Chinese  美 溪 区 , Pinyin Měixī Qū ) of the district-free city of Yichun in the Chinese province of Heilongjiang in the northeast of the People's Republic of China has an area of ​​2,259 km² and has about 42,000 inhabitants (2004).
