Meixian
Meixian (梅县区; Pinyin : Meixian Qū) is a district of the prefecture-level city Meizhou in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong . It has an area of 2,755 km² and has a population of around 610,000. The municipality emerged from Mei (aus) County on October 18, 2013, which was dissolved that day.
The birth house of Marshal Ye Jianying ( Ye Jianying guju ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-503) since 2001 .
