Baron Melchett
Baron Melchett , of Landford in the County of Southampton , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was awarded on January 15, 1928 to the industrialist and liberal politician Sir Alfred Mond, 1st Baronet . As early as July 8, 1910, the subordinate title Baronet , of Hartford Hill in Great Budworth in the County of Chester , was awarded to him in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .
With the death of Peter Mond, 4th Baron Melchett , both titles expired on August 29, 2018.
