Memel loop regional park
The Memelschleifenregionalpark ( lit.Nemuno kilpų regioninis parkas ) is a regional park founded in 1992 in southern Lithuania , in the district of Prienai , municipality of Birštonas and district of Alytus . The head office is located in Birštonas town . The territory is 25,171 ha, 67% of which are forests. The park was established to protect the landscape of the three Nemunas loops and archaeological remains such as the Punia hill fort . There are a total of 20 ramparts in the park . In the Punia forestryis the Punia Forest Museum .
