Menon (potter)

Menon was a Greek potter who worked in Athens around 530 BC. Chr.

He is best known for his signature on a red-figure abdominal amphora in Philadelphia , University Museum Inv. 5349, the painting of which is attributed to the painter Psiax . Before the name of the Psiax was known by his signature, he was called Menon painter after the potter .
