Menzinger Str. 125 - after a fire in 2012

The residential and studio house built for himself by the architect Gustav Gsaenger at Menzinger Straße 125 from 1926 to 1928 was only added to the list of monuments in 2012. However, it had to be painted again just a few months later after the building had been completely destroyed by a fire for an unknown cause.

description

The building with a steep gable roof was made up of two single-storey components with gable roofs with flatter approaches. The larger part of the building originally housed the kitchen, living rooms and studio, while the bedrooms were in the smaller part of the building, with an arcade with carved wooden balusters in front of it. The building was rebuilt in 1940 and Gsaenger's studio moved to the smaller part of the building and the bedrooms to the larger part of the building.
