Mesquinhata is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Mesquinhata belongs to the Baião county in the Porto district . The community had an area of 3.4 km² and 302 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Mesquinhata and Baião (Santa Leocádia) were merged to form the new community União das Freguesias de Baião (Santa Leocádia) e Mesquinhata .
