Metathesis reaction

A metathesis reaction is understood to mean various exchange reactions in chemistry:

  • Salt metathesis - the exchange of different ions in salts with one another
  • Alkene metathesis - the change of residues between two olefins (alkenes)
  • Alkyne metathesis - the change of residues between two alkynes
  • A mixed form of alkene and alkyne metathesis reaction
