Mezzetta
The Mezzetta , also Mezetta (plural: Mezzette), was an Italian measure of volume in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and used for oil , grain and wine .
Grain measure
- 1 mezzetta = 2 quartucci = 76 ¾ Parisian cubic inches = 1.5 liters
- 2 mezzettes = 1 metadello
- 4 mezzets = 1 quarto
- 8 mezzets = 1 mina
- 16 mezzets = 1 stajo
- 48 Mezzette = 1 Sacco
Oil measure
- 1 mezzetta / oil mezzetta = 2 quartucci = 26 ⅓ Parisian cubic inches = 7/13 liters
- 4 mezzette 1 fiasco / bottle
- 64 mezzette = 1 barile da olio / oil baril
Wine measure
- 1 mezzetta / wine mezzetta = 2 quartucci = 57 9/20 Parisian cubic inches = 1 ⅛ liter
- 2 mezzettes = 1 fiasco
- 40 mezzette = 1 barile da vino / wine bar
