Michael Geitner
Michael Geitner (* 1964 in Munich ) is a German horse trainer and non-fiction author.
Career
Michael Geitner grew up on a western ranch run by his parents. After completing a craft apprenticeship and commercial training, he worked as a specialist automotive salesman. In 1994 he started his own business as a manufacturer of signs and illuminated signs.
1997-2007 Michael Geitner ran a "Pony of America" breeding farm. In 1997 he imported the “POA” mare “Bounce Back Val”. She was the first “Pony of America” mare with American papers to be imported into Europe. POA stallion "Santee Champ" followed her in 1999 from the USA.
Michael Geitner has been giving courses for horse owners since 1999, initially mainly for people who had difficulties with horses. In 2002 Michael Geitner was successful in bringing up an almost indomitable mixture of horse and zebra called "Zesel". The success became known through the monthly diary stories in the horse magazine "Cavallo"; the whole thing was also documented on video. Books followed: Be Strict and Be Strict in the saddle.
Geitner developed Dual-Activation ® in 2004 , since then he has been training dual-activation trainers every year and trains horses according to the successful concept. DVD movies have been created using his method. His book project “Kulante Konsequenz” describes the change and the “horse man becoming” of the trainer. Michael Geitner has been the owner trainer for horse racing horses since December 2005. In 2012 Michael Geitner created the training concept "Horse Knowledge Compact", which includes knowledge about horses.
The latest training concept from Michael Geitner is called Equikinetic ® . The Equikinetic is a lunging program based on the isokinetic training principle. This lunging program is an interval training on the lunge, in which muscle groups are evenly tensed for a certain time and thus trained within various exercises.
