Michael Koch (lawyer)

Michael Koch , (born December 12, 1964 in Rheydt ) is a German lawyer and judge in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Life

After studying at the University of Cologne, Koch passed the first state examination in law in the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court district and was then a trainee lawyer in the districts of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. After passing the second state examination in law in 1994, he joined the justice service of the state of Saxony-Anhalt on February 1, 1995. After holding positions at the Halle Public Prosecutor and the Halle Regional Court, he worked at the Naumburg District Court from 1996 to 2005, where he was appointed judge at the District Court in 1998. Secondments to the Naumburg Higher Regional Court and the Halle Regional Court followed. In 2005 he was appointed director of the Weißenfels District Court , which he headed until 2017. He also took over the provisional management of the Naumburg District Court and - for a short time - the Zeitz District Court. From January 2016 he was also presidential judge at the higher regional court in Naumburg. On June 23, 2017, he was appointed Vice President of the Magdeburg Regional Court.
