Michael Zichy

Michael Zichy (* 1975 ) is an Austrian philosopher .

Life

He studied philosophy and Catholic theology in Salzburg, where he is research assistant (2000–2003) and lecturer (since 2003). From 2002 to 2005 he was Secretary General of the Austrian Society for Philosophy. He was the scientific coordinator of the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research at the University of Salzburg from 2005 to 2006. He was a research assistant at the Institute for Technology-Theology-Natural Science (TTN) at the LMU Munich from 2006 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015 he was a research assistant at the Philosophy Department of the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Salzburg, where he has been assistant professor since 2015. In 2018 he was awarded the Cardinal Innitzer Prize for the Humanities .
