Mickey McGowan (* in Los Angeles , California ) is an American video artist .

life and work

Mickey McGowan was born the son of a firefighter. In 1974 he and Dickens Bascom opened the Unknown Museum in Mill Valley , California.

In collaboration with Chip Lord , the video Easy Living was created in 1984 , which was shown at documenta 8 in 1987 and is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art .
