Micropia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Micropia is a division of the Artis Zoological Garden in Amsterdam, opened on September 30, 2014 . It is the world's first zoo for microbiological organisms. With the help of 3D binoculars that have been coupled to the lenses of a microscope and enable a sharp image magnified a thousand times, the aim is to show how microorganisms live and feed themselves. In addition, extreme habitats of microbes are illustrated in virtual representations.
