Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) is a certification offered by the software company Microsoft , which is primarily aimed at software developers . This certification proves that the developer has the skills to create mobile applications or web applications and services. The focus is on the technologies Microsoft Azure , C # , SharePoint and Visual Studio , .NET and HTML .
The MCSD certification should be discontinued by Microsoft on June 30, 2020, due to the corona pandemic , the termination will be postponed to January 31, 2021.
MCSD: App Builder
At the end of March 2017, Microsoft made some changes to the available certifications, so that there is now only the MCSD: App Builder certification . To achieve certification, you must have the MCSA: Web Applications or MCSA: Universal Windows Platform certificate and pass one of the following exams. In order to keep the certification up to date, another of the elective exams must be taken in the following year.
- Exam 70-357: Developing Mobile Apps
- Exam 70-480: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3
- Exam 70-483: Programming in C #
- Exam 70-486: Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications
- Exam 70-487: Developing Microsoft Azure and Web Services
Previous certifications
For the following MCSD certifications, no more exams have been offered since the end of March 2017:
- MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using HTML5
- MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using C #
- MCSD: Web Applications
- MCSD: SharePoint Applications
- MCSD: Application Lifecycle Management
Examination acceptance
The exams for MCSD certification can be taken in any Pearson VUE test center and are therefore uniformly and internationally recognized worldwide. Developers can use it to prove their expertise in dealing with Microsoft technologies.
