Midway Island is an uninhabited island in the Australian state of Western Australia . It is 1.6 kilometers from mainland Australia.
The island is 740 meters long and 400 meters wide. Nearby are the islands of Greville Island , Lammas Island and Uwins Island .
There are two small sandy beaches in the north of the island.
