The Miele works in Gütersloh produced 1953 to 1960, the Miele mopeds . During this period, the K 50, K 51, K 52 and K 53 models were manufactured in different versions. The quantities produced are not known; When asked, Miele did not name them or said they were unknown. Miele had bicycles in its range as early as 1924, and from 1930 also motorized bicycles. Motorcycles were added to the range in the 1950s .

The K 50, K 51 and K 52 were powered by an air-cooled 47 cm³ two-stroke engine from Fichtel & Sachs, in the models K 52/2 and K 53 with fan cooling. The engine was designed for operation with a two-stroke mixture 1:25 (oil: gasoline).

K 50 and K 50 S

The frame of the K 50 and K 50 S models was still very much based on the motorized bicycles from Miele. Although the rear wheel was unsprung, Miele nevertheless emphasized “perfect roadholding” and “first-class driving characteristics” in its advertising for the K 50. The mudguards and fuel tank had "tasteful lines". The K 50 model was painted black as standard, but was also available in red-brown or effect blue for a surcharge of DM 5. The following additional extras were available ex works: whitewall tires (5.90 DM), reinforced tires in 23 × 2.25 "instead of 23 × 2" (5.40 DM), reinforced tires as whitewall tires (11.90 DM) and electrical equipment Horn (8.50 DM).

There was also the K 50 S variant of the K 50, which differed from the standard model in terms of particularly large front and rear wheel trims, a closed chain case and, in particular, a rear swing arm. In addition, according to the brochure, “the fairing and fuel tank were tastefully decorated”. The K50 S could be delivered in medium blue, red-brown or black, each with beige decorations. In addition to the whitewall tires (DM 6.00) and reinforced tires (DM 4.50), which can also be ordered as an extra for the K 50, the moped was available with a three-speed transmission for a surcharge of DM 30.

K 51

The K 51 model, called moped scooter by Miele and advertised as a “new type of vehicle”, was fully clad with a self-supporting body. The K 51 no longer had a bicycle saddle, like the K 50, but a foam rubber bench seat. The frame was designed with a deep step-through so that "men and women alike" could get on the moped comfortably. The engine was now also “elegantly and sleekly disguised”. The K 51 was available in black with a black / red bench or in poplar gray / green with a bench of the same color. White wall tires for DM 5.90 and an electric horn for DM 8.50 were available as accessories.

K 52

There were four versions of the K52: a K 52 and a K 52 Sport, each of which was also available as a model for two people and had the suffix “/ 2 G”. In addition to technical details such as the “technically perfect rear wheel suspension”, the advertising emphasized the “solid Miele quality” and pointed out that a Miele moped was a “wonderful thing”: “It makes you independent, moves distances The K 52, the simplest model in the series, was equipped with a swinging saddle and was only available in the poplar gray / green paintwork. A three-speed transmission cost 30 DM extra, whitewall tires cost 6.80 DM.

The K 52 Sport had a three-quarter seat bench, a standard three-speed gearbox and was offered in the two-tone paint finishes convertible gray / dolphin blue or sand dune beige / coral red. The two-person model of the K 52 was available in the color combinations convertible gray / dolphin blue, sand dune beige / coral red or fire red / black, the K52 Sport was only available in fire red / black.

K 53

The top model of the moped series was the K 53, which with 3.2 hp had about twice as much power as the smaller models. It was equipped with a two-person bench seat and a larger tank and was available in stores in convertible gray / dolphin blue or fire red / black. Unlike all other models had the K 53 no pedals, but a kick starter and was therefore considered formally not a classic moped, but a moped without a speed limit.
