Mieszko Talarczyk

Mieszko A. Talarczyk (born December 23, 1974 in Poland , † December 26, 2004 in Thailand ) was a Swedish musician. He was the singer and guitarist of the grindcore band Nasum .

Since 1993 Mieszko was first active as a guitarist, later as a guitarist and singer with Nasum. He sang in the band Krigshot and from 1994 Mieszko also played as a side project in the punk band Genocide Superstars . In addition to his activities as a guitarist and singer, Mieszko founded Soundlab Studios in Örebro , Sweden, together with Millencolin guitarist Mathias Färm .

At the end of 2004, Mieszko was on a trip to Thailand with his girlfriend, during which the two were hit by a tsunami from the great 2004 seaquake in the Indian Ocean on December 26, 2004 . While Mieszko's girlfriend survived seriously injured, Mieszko was lost after the tidal wave. It was not announced until February 17, 2005 that Mieszko's body had been found and identified.

After Mieszko's death, the band Nasum broke up. The further status of the band Genocide Superstars has been unclear since his death.
